Fibronostics Joins Convenient Care Association

Association works to improve access to quality healthcare

Drop-in healthcare clinics are becoming more and more common. From your local Walgreens or Rite-Aid or even a local grocery store, these clinics are bringing convenience in healthcare to people everywhere.

In the healthcare industry these clinics are called Convenient Care Clinics and they are sprouting up all over the country. To ensure quality of care for these clinics, the Convenient Care Association works to share best practices and quality standards among its members.

Fibronostics is proud to announce that it has joined the Convenient Care Association (CCA) as a corporate member. Its membership underscores Fibronostics’ commitment to leveraging the benefits of technology to improve lives, and deliver high-quality, life-improving disease educationevaluation and monitoring.

Formed in 2006 the CCA is the national trade association of companies and healthcare systems that provide consumers with accessible, affordable, quality healthcare in retail-based locations. CCA works primarily to enhance and sustain the growth of the Convenient Care industry through standards-based practices.

More than 2000 Convenient Care Clinics provide healthcare services in high-traffic retail outlets with pharmacies adjacent that provide affordable and accessible, episodic care to consumers who otherwise would have to wait for appointments with a traditional Primary Care Physician or Provider (PCP).

Staffed by highly qualified advanced practice nurses including nurse practitioners, as well as by physician assistants and/or physicians, these clinics provide a convenient healthcare option that complements traditional medical service providers. Generally open seven days a week, with extended weekday hours, appointments are not necessary and visits generally take 15-20 minutes.

Convenient Care clinicians treat common ailments such as colds and flu, muscle strains, minor injuries, and abdominal upsets. They also provide immunizations, physicals, and preventive health screenings.

Fibronostics is proud to be associated with the organization that works to increase access to high-quality healthcare at lower cost through its efforts to share best practices, establish common standards, build relationships with traditional medical service providers and advocating for highest quality of care standards throughout the convenient care industry.

Founded in 2015 by a team of physicians, mathematicians, life sciences experts and health IT professionals, Fibronostics aims to improve healthcare through technology. Its suite of machine-learning developed algorithm-based diagnostic tools offers simpler, less costly predictive tools to screen for and track cardiometabolic diseases, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and chronic renal diseases. Its LiverFAStTM diagnostic test provides rapid, non-invasive, inexpensive, and most importantly early alerts well before a patient’s liver condition demands the expense and added risk of liver biopsy.
